About Leilani
I want to help you be mentally resilient.
Before becoming a coach, I spent years in research studying working memory and how people learn. I was particularly interested in why some individuals struggle in ways that are often misinterpreted as ability or motivation issues — when in reality, the structure around them wasn’t aligned with how their thinking works.
That lens hasn’t changed — it’s just moved into real-world contexts: leadership, workload, decision-making, and the daily cognitive demands of modern life.
What I help people do is simple, but not always easy:
see what is actually happening in their thinking, so they can stop struggling and start working with how their cognition functions under high load.
I believe that when you know better, you can choose better.
You can see different possibilities for managing how you think.
Once you’re able to finally “see” your thinking clearly, you realize you’re not broken — you are overloaded. Together, we can look at how to adjust attention, structure, and expectations so your thinking becomes less mentally effortful.
I coach, speak, and create educational content to help people learn to recognize their hidden cognitive load, so they can work with their thinking instead of against it. They can get more done with less strain.
If you feel like you’re constantly behind, mentally foggy, or struggling to focus — this work may help you understand why that’s happening, and what to do next.
